Terms of Use — The Codon Store

Last updated: April 4, 2025

1. Acceptance

By downloading, copying, or using any codon (component, skill file, or associated code) from The Codon Store, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the codons.

2. "As Is" Disclaimer

All codons are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Probably Playable does not warrant that any codon will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or meet your requirements. Codons may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or incompatibilities.

3. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Probably Playable, its contributors, or its affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or damage to systems — arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use any codon, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing and auditing all code before integrating it into your project
  • Testing codons in your environment before deploying to production
  • Ensuring codons comply with your project's security and quality standards
  • Any consequences resulting from the use of codons in your software
  • Verifying license compatibility with your project

5. Community Contributions

Codons may be contributed by third parties. Probably Playable does not review, audit, or guarantee the quality, security, or functionality of community-contributed codons. The presence of a codon on The Codon Store does not constitute an endorsement.

6. AI-Generated Content

Some codons may have been partially or entirely generated, modified, or documented with the assistance of AI tools. Probably Playable makes no guarantees about the correctness, originality, or safety of AI-assisted code. Standard code review practices apply.

7. Intellectual Property

Each codon is distributed under its own license (typically MIT). You must comply with the license terms specified in each codon. Probably Playable does not claim ownership of community-contributed codons.

8. No Support Obligation

Probably Playable is under no obligation to provide support, maintenance, updates, bug fixes, or security patches for any codon. Support may be provided at our discretion but is not guaranteed.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Probably Playable and its contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of codons or violation of these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of The Codon Store after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
